ZLAN9163 is a RS232/485/422 conversion optical fiber product developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., LTD. The optical fiber is a single-mode single-fiber SC port. It is used to connect the serial ports of two RS485/232 devices remotely through optical fiber pairing.

ZLAN9163 can be used only by connecting the fiber \RS485/232 line, no more configuration is required; Contains optical fiber connection indicator light, two-way data transmission indicator light, convenient field debugging.

ZLAN9163 fiber adopts single-mode single-fiber SC interface, the advantage of single-mode single fiber is that one fiber transmission can save fiber cost during long-distance transmission. The power input can be a plug or 2-wire terminal, and the voltage input is a wide voltage range of 9 to 24V.

Also has RS232/485/422 interface. RS232 is a common DB9 interface, RS485/RS422 is a wiring terminal mode, easy to install. When serial port 9163 receives data, the ACT indicator is on. When serial port 9163 sends data, the LINK indicator is on.

When the ZLAN9163 is used for interconnection, you only need to connect the two 9163s with the single-mode single-fiber optical cable of the SC port, and connect the other two serial devices to each other. The serial port baud rate and serial port parameters can be self-adapted without any configuration. Note that one end is ZLAN9163-5 and the other end is ZLAN9163-3, used in pairs.

Compared with ZLAN9153 Fiber optic serial server, 9163 has three advantages
1. Zero delay transmission: Because 9163/5163 adopts serial port hard decoding technology, it transmits a single bit of information rather than waiting for a serial port to collect all 8 bits before transmission, so its real-time transmission is very high. It can be applied to the field with high demand for real-time training.
2. Serial port parameter adaptive: Users do not need to care about the baud rate and other parameters of the connected serial port device, and the device can adapt to various baud rates, parity bits, data bits, and stop bits, which is completely plug-and-play.
3. Do not configure network parameters: You do not need to configure IP address, port and other parameters, because these parameters are complicated for the first time users, 9163/5163 do not need to configure parameters as long as the optical fiber or network cable can be used.
