ZLAN9223E is an advanced passive RS232 to RS485 converter developed by Shanghai ZLAN Technology. Compared with other passive RS232-485 converters on the market, it has the following advantages:
1. Support up to 230400bps baud rate. High baud rate power supply ability, long-term communication does not produce any error code. The general RS232-485 conversion on the market can only reach 57600bps, and will not work under 115200bps.
2. Unique design, no exposed circuit board. Traditional RS23/485 converter, RS485 this end uses DB9 terminal, this way will expose the circuit board, not only not good looking but also easy to leak, corrosion. ZLAN9223E adopts integral housing, terminal type RS485 connection and flange installation, beautiful appearance, strong and safe.
3. Powerful RS232 interface compatibility. The ZLAN9223E has a built-in 4-way charge pump charging circuit that steals electricity not only from the two fluidic pins but also from the TXD pins. Compatible with the following RS232 devices:
(1) All types of RS232 instruments with standard RS232 levels (such as with MAX232 interface chips) and flow control pins (DTR and RTS). Includes dual-chip USB-to-RS232 converters, such as the PL2303 dual-chip USB cable.
(2) Some RS232 devices do not contain flow control feet (DTR and RTS are suspended), only RXD, TXD, GND these three lines. As long as the RXD, TXD and GND are standard RS232 levels, ZLAN9223E can work.
(3) Some non-standard RS232 level USB-to-serial cable, such as the single-chip CH340 USB-to-232 cable. As long as the flow control line exists, it can communicate with the ZLAN9223E. There is only one case in which the RS232 interface cannot communicate with the ZLAN9223E, and that is when the RS232 interface uses TTL level (such as the USB-to-232 of the single-chip CH340), and there is no flow control cable. But this RS232 is rare.

ZLAN9223E converter can realize the bidirectional interface converter between RS-232 and RS-485. It can be used between the master computer, between the master computer and the single chip microcomputer or peripherals to form a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint remote multi-machine communication network to achieve multi-machine response communication. Widely used in industrial automation control system, card, access control system, parking system, self-service banking system, bus toll system, canteen meal system, company staff attendance management system, highway toll station system, etc.

ZLAN9223E converter, capable of converting TXD and RXD signals from RS-232 serial ports into two-wire balanced half-duplex RS-485 signals, without the need for an external power supply. Power can be stolen directly from the 3-pin of the RS-232 port, while the 7-pin request to send (RTS), 4-pin data terminal ready (DTR) to the ZLAN9223E auxiliary power supply, RS232 flow control pin internal short-circuited to achieve automatic flow control.
